Meet Bernard…

Filed under: turtle watercolor painting — laurenmaurerartworks @ 10:06 pm
Meet Bernard…. he’s a turtle I met at the Atlanta Aquarium. Unlike the sea turtle I recently painted, he was not in a posing mood, but I still got some really great shots, without him trying to look good and me without a good camera! When I started this painting, I was with a friend and was telling her about the FB fun I’ve been having with Fan’s suggestions for naming my paintings. She took a look at my reference photo and said, “He looks like a Bernard!”

  7. He was grumpy! Or maybe it's just his little turtle nose! Whatever it is, I do think his name fits! Thanks, Lori and Cathyann and Kelly!
