Lake Murray Towers at Sunset

Filed under: lake murray, sunset, towers, watercolor painting — laurenmaurerartworks @ 2:53 pm

8×10 watercolor on cold press

The Lake Murray Dam is a landmark here in South Carolina. I think it was built in the 30s, and then a few years ago they started a new backup dam. It was finished recently, complete with a 3.4 mile walking pathway. It is a nice quick run and I have started bringing my camera with me when I go, because the sky is always so beautiful! For sale in my shop!

  7. Lauren- I see you live near Lake Murray. I'm from Florence/Hartsville SC with relatives in Columbia. I've done some paintings for the River Alliance there.
